The Connecticut Veterans Organization is here to help you find jobs with veteran friendly organizations, housing opportunities, Education assistance, and just about anything else we can do to help you, the veteran, have an easy transition from active duty to civilian life. We also help veterans who have been of active duty for longer than a year find a job, or a place to live. We help all veterans seek assistance that is out there to help them. In December of 2006, I got together a few others who also believed that help should be made available to our veterans coming home and started CTVO. Our Volunteer Officer, James, received a phone call one Thursday Evening from a local bus company stating how they needed help finding drivers and mechanics. Then on Saturday our welcome center received a call from a guy who just came off of active duty navy, who was a diesel mechanic, we made a few phone calls and an interview was set up for Monday. Our volunteers are dedicated to help our veterans get jobs as quick as possible.
