Veteran Services Representative
Our Veterans Services Representatives
assist veterans on a one-on one basis to help our veterans in career assistance,
resume writing skills, interview skills, veterans benefits research and more.
This position requires a minimum of a 2 hour per week commitment.

Veteran Advocate
The
Veteran Advocate is responsible for assisting our veterans in anything that is
considered unjust. This position requires anywhere from less than
one hour to five hours a week commitment (depends on workload).

Community Officer
The Community Officer is also a
member of our board of directors and is responsible for all the community
activities that our organization is involved in. The Community
Officer works directly with the Assistance, Financial and Volunteer Officers to
ensure a smooth operation within the organization. This position
requires three to ten hours of commitment a week. Please contact

This is an elected position and must apply to be on ballot no later than 14
days prior to annual meeting.
Event Coordinator
The Event Coordinator is responsible
for all our outreaching events and opportunities. They are
responsible for making sure we are targeting and outreaching as many veterans as
possible to assist. Events can include, but are not limited to,
community outreach (in coordination with Community Officer), Special Events,
Fundraising & Marketing (in coordination with Financial Officer), and much more.
This position requires three to seven hour commitment per week.

Webmaster
The webmaster is responsible for
maintaining our website, as well as keeping all information up to date.
This position requires approximately two hours of commitment per week.
This position requires three to ten hours of commitment a week.

Board of Directors
The Connecticut Veterans Organization
is, per articles, required to have seven board of directors. We
currently have three vacancies. The responsibilities of a board
member is to vote on ant and all items pertaining to the organization as stated
in our bylaws. The board meets on a quarterly basis.
